来源：为百合科植物滇黄精Polygonatum kingianum Coll.et Hemsl.、黄精Polygonatum sibiricum Red.或多花黄精Polygonatum cyrtonema Hua的干燥根茎经提取分离纯化制成的提取物。
营养成分：黄精粗淀粉含量较高,粗蛋白质次之,粗多糖含量、总黄酮含量高达0.04%;17种氨基酸总量为5.49%,必需氨基酸占总氨基酸的26.41%,其药用氨基酸含量丰富,9种药用氨基酸合计4.25%,是氨基酸总量的77.41%;另外,黄精的矿质元素含量也较高,9种元素中常量元素以Ca含量最高,微量元素以Fe含量最高,8种脂肪酸中不饱和脂肪酸亚油酸含量最高。
