来源：菊科泽兰属植物甜叶菊Stevia rebaudiana（Bertoni）Hemsl.的叶经提取分离纯化制成的提取物，包含有RA, STV,RD,RM ,RB, TSG, GSG等成分。
甜味成分组成：甜菊甙(stevioside)；莱包迪甙(RebaudiosideA)A、D、C、E；杜尔可甙(dulcoside)A甜叶菊提取物不会影响血糖水平或干扰胰岛素。甜叶菊提取物不含任何卡路里,可以给糖尿病患者在预算总摄入热量方面提供更多灵活选择,并有助于控制体重。无论怎样摄入甜叶菊提取物,对血糖指数GI没有影响。甜叶菊提取物也可用于各种食品和饮料，单个用途和使用水平可能会因所在国家不同而有所不同。甜叶菊提取物与其他增甜剂组合使用时,会有协同效果。
